The Sound Lab Presents: Music Makes Glasgow From humble beginnings in Tollcross the Sound Lab has gone on to provide free music education and creative mentoring to 1000's of young people across Glasgow. We have remained steadfast in our conviction that everyone should have the opportunity to explore their creative potential – not just the privileged few.
Working with young people in the care system, refugees and asylum seekers, young people with disabilities and others, we’ve now been making creative education more accessible for 25 years – because music matters!
Join us on the 12th of October as we celebrate this milestone with a day of live music and workshops. We’ve curated an incredible lineup of performances from within The Sound Lab community and beyond. Featuring sets from Sound Lab tutors, friends and students we’ll have live music from Terra Kin , Haiver, Eyve, Nicky Murray and more, plus DJ sets from Free Love, Butho The Warrior and Sound Lab DJs B2B (Steg G, Laurie Pitt, Paul Njie, Wheelman, Novek and more).
We want you to get creative too, so there will be hands-on DJ, screen-printing and production workshops on the go, available for all ages, plus a charity auction raffle with some great prizes up for grabs. We’ll also be premiering our documentary film exploring the impact, history and legacy of The Sound Lab over the last 25 years. Plus, there will be plenty of delicious food and drinks, and good vibes to keep the celebration going all day long.
