The Sound Lab website has been funded by Awards For All!

The Sound Lab is a registered charity helping young people 12 to 25 years in the East End of Glasgow to advance their education through music, the arts, media skills, and digital technology.

The Sound Lab has met the needs of young people in the area providing an innovative and unique creative music and arts service to young people in the East End of Glasgow since 2003.

Currently we offer young people support through providing music tuition, encouraging information and skills exchange, developing recording projects, and filmmaking.
We also support our young people to perform live at local community events, giving our young people invaluable experience of live performances.

Our band members have appeared at the Arches in Glasgow in 2005 in a citywide initiative Grand Get Real About Alcohol and Drugs. Of course the band delivered an outstanding performance and all of them were a credit to their families and community.

Again throughout 2006 and 2007 our younger members formed their own band and preformed live several times at the East End Drugs Forum and the Community Engagement Evenings at the Newlands Centre Parkhead, again delivering exceptional performances.

We can only emphasise that young people need the opportunity to be all that they can be and The Sound Lab is a place where young people can be creative and their talents developed. Our experience so far has shown it is a powerful and truly worthwhile means of stimulation.
